Atletico Sign Joao Felix In the fifth most expensive transfer in history for £ 113 m

In the fifth most expensive transfer in history, Atletico Madrid signed Portugal forward Joao Felix for 126 m euros (£ 113 m) from Benfica.

Benfica confirmed that Atletico will pay the fee in instalments after bidding € 6 m more than the € 120 m discharge provision for the 19-year-old.
Only Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele shifted for more cash.
Felix agreed a seven-year agreement with Atletico. He produced his August junior premiere and averaged 15 objectives last summer as Benfica earned the championship.
Felix is now the second most expensive teenager after the € 180 m granted to Monaco in 2018 by Paris St-Germain for France forward Mbappe.
In the semi-final of the Nations League in June, the old college coach from Porto produced his global return against Switzerland.
He won a hat-trick against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League in April, becoming the oldest Benfica team and the oldest Portuguese footballer to reach three objectives in Europe and the oldest participant ever in the Europa League. Atletico striker Antoine Griezmann has confirmed that he will leave the club this summer, with Barcelona expected to pay his € 120 m buyout contract.
Atletico also verified the signings of two teams from Porto on Wednesday.
Mexico's midfielder Hector Herrera, 29, signed a three-year deal after moving on a free transfer, while Brazil's center-back Felipe, 30, joined for € 20 m (£ 17.9 m).
The club also confirmed Spain's 23-year-old midfielder Rodri's sale to Premier League champions Manchester City in a £ 62.8 m agreement.
